Get Excited for October as our students prepare to step onto the mats and represent their Hero Schools at the Hero Championship!
For many students, this will be their first opportunity to compete in front of a crowd, put their training to the test and discover how they respond under pressure. They do not need to be the strongest, fastest or most experienced. They simply need the courage to step forward and give it their best.
The championship has been created to provide a positive and supportive competition experience where every student can challenge themselves, demonstrate their skills and feel proud of what they achieve.
Taking part will build confidence, strengthen resilience and help students become more comfortable performing under pressure and stepping outside their comfort zone.
This is their chance to represent their school and feel like a true champion.

Junior & Adult Heroes can compete in multiple exciting categories designed to test your martial arts skills in a fun and challenging ways.
Flying Side Kick
Test your courage as you aim for the highest flying side kick.
Hand Drills
Demonstrate focus, speed, and accuracy through the hand drills practised in class.
Combinations
Perform your combinations while showing off your power, control and technique.
Forms
Showcase your forms with confidence, focus, and precision.
Point Stop Sparring
Get the gloves on and test yourself in competitive point stop sparring matches.
Juniors, Families, and Adults
Control | Confidence | Resilience
Light Contact Continuous Sparring allows the match to flow for the full round with controlled techniques and consistent movement.
This category develops stamina, ring awareness and the ability to stay calm and focused while sparring continuously.

Your Questions Answered
Who can take part?
The championship is open to Junior, Family and Adult students aged 7+.
Do I need competition experience?
No. The event is designed to be positive, supportive and suitable for first-time competitors.
What can categories can I compete in?
Hand Drills, Combinations, Flying Side Kick, Forms and Point Stop Sparring.
Do I have to enter every category?
No. You can choose which categories you would like to enter but we encourage students to enter as many as possible
How much does it cost?
£40 per competitor until 31st August 2026. The normal price is £45.
What should I wear?
Wear your full Hero martial arts uniform. Full sparring equipment is required for Point Stop Sparring.
What if I feel nervous?
That is completely normal. Our instructors will be there to support and encourage every competitor.
Can Mini Heroes compete?
Mini Heroes will compete separately in their own championship earlier in the day.
